About the designers
Well for starters, she’s awesome.
Ohhhhh! You want to know more? Okay.
Trisha learned how to sew a long time ago by assisting her mother on sewing projects. She learns a lot by just observing and picked up enough to, in her words, “be dangerous”. Over the years she has created costumes, coats, curtains, pajama bottoms, and dresses. But it wasn’t until she began her own photography career in 2015 that she saw a void in the maternity gown industry. Everything was the same – same fabric, same style, same gown that everyone owned. She wanted different. She wanted high end.
And so she began sewing for herself.
She hand drapes every gown with a little help from patterns she has curated over the years. A little bit of this, a pinch of that, and a whole lot of coffee, her Golden Retriever Fred, and Billie Holliday help keep her hopping through the creative process.
She lives by the philosophy of the ridiculous – why make a full skirt when you can make it ridiculously full? Every element should be dramatic and absolutely, ridiculously beautiful.
“The world is so boring without sparkle,” she says.
Wouldn’t you agree?
She’s a one woman smokeshow of talent and go getter.
From social media to web design, client interfacing, gown design, and holding the paper bag as Trisha hyperventilates into it, Lindsay does it all. She’s the behind the scenes gal who runs this ship.
“I’m the boss,” she says.
“Yeah, she is,” agrees Trisha. “Just don’t let it go to her head.”
Lindsay started working alongside Trisha in their photography business when she was just 16 years old. She quickly picked up the art of editing and took over that portion of the business. As Trisha developed other avenues of revenue through presets, Lindsay took on more and more of the behind the scenes work while Trisha worked on the creative side.
And then came the gowns.
Lindsay loves to help design and create a new gown. She has a great eye for textures, adding detail, and creating out of the box looks for clients. From neon light Vegas shoot inspired sets to bohemian weddings atop an Ireland bluff, she too wants to create the epic, ridiculous gown for your next session.
